How to apply to Lever jobs with AI
Lever applications need no candidate account and ask for little, so an autofill extension handles most of the work. Simplify Copilot and Jobright Autofill both name Lever. Lever's help center says every Lever-hosted form has fields for resume, full name, email, phone, current location, and current company, and only name and email are required by default. Account
- Lever does not run a job seeker account. Its support page says Lever cannot help you apply or check status, and sends you back to the employer.3
Fields
- Every Lever-hosted application form has Resume, Full Name, Email, Phone, Current Location, and Current company fields. Full Name and Email are required by default, and the employer can make the others required.2
- If you upload a resume on a Lever job site, Lever fills Current Location from it. If it cannot, you pick a location from a drop-down.2
- Employers can add link questions, such as LinkedIn or GitHub, an optional Pronouns field, and an Additional Information box.2
- Lever's Postings API, which employers use to build their own forms, also requires only name and email.4
Resume
- Lever parses Microsoft Word, PDF, RTF, WordPerfect, HTML, and OpenDocument files.1
- Lever cannot parse image files such as JPG or PNG. Lever's own test is to try highlighting the text. If you cannot, the file likely will not parse.1

Can AI fill out Lever applications?
A short form means a fast fill, and it means the few open questions carry more weight. Where the employer adds an Additional Information box, it is often the only place to say why you fit. A boilerplate line from a tool wastes it.
Since Lever has no candidate account or status page, keep your own record of where you applied. An extension that logs applications, or a spreadsheet, does that job.
