The best way to apply to jobs with AI in 2026, system by system
Use an AI tool to fill the standard fields and draft your materials, then answer the employer's own questions yourself. Simplify Copilot and Jobright Autofill name Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, and iCIMS. JobCopilot names Workday for auto-apply. LazyApply names Greenhouse and LinkedIn. On LinkedIn Easy Apply, LinkedIn's rules bar third-party automation, so apply with LinkedIn's own saved answers.

The short answer
- Simplify Copilot and Jobright Autofill, both free extensions, name the most systems: Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, and iCIMS.12
- Greenhouse has its own free autofill, MyGreenhouse Quick Apply, wherever the employer turns it on.3
- No tool we checked names SmartRecruiters on its own pages, as of November 8, 2026.
- LinkedIn says bots and automating extensions can get an account restricted or closed.4
Which application system is behind your job?
Look at the application page's address or footer. Workday sites often run on myworkdayjobs.com, and Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, iCIMS, and SmartRecruiters often show their name in the address or a "Powered by" line. Then open that division.
- Workday An account per employer and several pages. Fill with a tool, answer the questionnaire yourself. Tools that name it: Simplify Copilot, Jobright Autofill, JobCopilot
- Greenhouse No account needed and free native autofill. The easiest common system. Tools that name it: Simplify Copilot, Jobright Autofill, LazyApply
- Lever No candidate account and few required fields. Spend your effort on the custom questions. Tools that name it: Simplify Copilot, Jobright Autofill
- Ashby Built-in resume autofill, conditional questions, and a spam filter the employer tunes. Tools that name it: Simplify Copilot, Jobright Autofill
- iCIMS Per-portal login, several pages, and a Finish Later button. Upload the resume first. Tools that name it: Simplify Copilot, Jobright Autofill
- SmartRecruiters No tool we checked names it. Fill identity fields, then read the consent boxes. Tools that name it: none we checked
- LinkedIn Easy Apply LinkedIn's rules bar automation. Use AI to draft, then apply with saved answers. Tools that name it: LazyApply
What is the best AI job apply tool for each use case?
We picked from what each tool states on its own pages, read on November 8, 2026. We did not test the tools, and no pick claims a success rate. The method page explains how picks work.

Simplify Copilot
Best for filling forms yourself
Why we picked it. Simplify Copilot's help center names Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, and iCIMS, tied with Jobright for the most systems of any tool we checked. It is a free browser extension, so you stay signed in as yourself and press Submit.15
Things to know. Simplify's help center says a supported system does not mean every custom page fills correctly, so read each form before you submit.1

Jobright Autofill
Best for a free alternative autofill
Why we picked it. Jobright Autofill is a free extension that fills the form while you review and submit. A Jobright blog post names the same five systems as Simplify.62
Things to know. Jobright's system names come from a post dated August 22, 2025. Its current autofill page says only "thousands of ATS platforms".26

Dreamwork (our publisher)
Best for hands-off applying to tech roles with tailored materials
Why we picked it. Dreamwork (dreamworkhq.com) focuses on tech, AI, and startup roles. It writes a tailored resume, cover letter, and answers to the employer's questions for each job, and submits to the employer's application system on a paid plan.7
Things to know. Dreamwork does not list supported systems by name, so every Dreamwork cell in our matrix reads not stated. Where a site does not support automatic submit, the pack is ready for you to send yourself. Pro costs $39 a month or $99 a quarter for 50 applications a month.7

JobCopilot
Best if most of your targets run Workday and you want submission handled
Why we picked it. JobCopilot names Workday for auto-apply at one credit per application, on top of its list of included career sites.8
Things to know. JobCopilot's extension fills other sites and leaves Submit to you. JobCopilot names no other system in our matrix.9

MyGreenhouse Quick Apply
Best for Greenhouse jobs
Why we picked it. MyGreenhouse Quick Apply is Greenhouse's own free autofill. It fills Greenhouse-hosted applications from one profile, where the employer has turned it on.3
Things to know. MyGreenhouse signs you in with an email code instead of a password and keeps one resume per profile.3

LinkedIn's own saved answers
Best for LinkedIn Easy Apply
Why we picked it. LinkedIn does not permit third-party automation on its site, so the safe route is to draft with AI elsewhere and apply with the resume and answers LinkedIn saves for you.410
Things to know. Easy Apply has a daily limit and a speed limit, and you cannot edit or withdraw an application after you submit it.1112

How do AI tools apply to jobs?
A fill tool is a browser extension that types into the employer's form while you watch. You stay signed in as yourself and press Submit. Simplify Copilot, Jobright Autofill, and JobCopilot's extension work this way.169
A submit service applies for you, from your account with it, often in batches. AIApply's Auto Apply, JobCopilot's auto-apply, LazyApply, Massive, and Dreamwork on a paid plan work this way.13814157
Native autofill is the system's own. MyGreenhouse Quick Apply, Ashby's Autofill from resume, iCIMS resume parsing, LinkedIn's saved answers, and from early 2027 Workday Candidate Profile all fill from a profile you keep with that system.316171018
The full grid of which tool names which system is in the tool support matrix.
What should you never let an AI tool answer?
- Work authorization, sponsorship, and relocation answers. They come from your situation, not your resume.
- Voluntary self-identification. Answering or declining is your choice, and Greenhouse and Lever both present these as separate EEO questions.1920
- Consent boxes. On SmartRecruiters, consent can cover the employer's talent CRM, SMS, and WhatsApp messages, not only this job.21
- LinkedIn activity. LinkedIn says bots and automating extensions can get an account restricted or closed.4
What do people ask about applying with AI?
- What is the best AI job apply tool?
- It depends on the system and on whether you want to press Submit yourself. For filling forms yourself, Simplify Copilot's current help center names five of the seven systems: Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, and iCIMS. For hands-off applying to tech roles with tailored materials, Dreamwork, which publishes this guide, submits on a paid plan. On LinkedIn Easy Apply, LinkedIn's own saved answers are the route that stays within LinkedIn's rules.
- Can AI fill out Workday applications?
- Yes. Simplify Copilot and Jobright Autofill name Workday among the systems their extensions fill, and JobCopilot names Workday for auto-apply. You still sign in to each employer's Workday site, and you should answer its screening questionnaire yourself.
- Is it safe to auto apply on LinkedIn?
- LinkedIn's help center says it does not permit third-party bots or browser extensions that automate activity on LinkedIn, and caps Easy Apply with daily and speed limits. Using AI to draft materials, then applying yourself, stays within those rules.
- How much do AI job apply tools cost?
- Simplify Copilot, Jobright Autofill, and MyGreenhouse Quick Apply are free. JobCopilot charges one credit per Workday auto-apply application. LazyApply prices its bots by applications per day. Dreamwork Pro, from the publisher of this guide, costs $39 a month or $99 a quarter for 50 applications a month.
- Which AI tools support SmartRecruiters?
- None of the seven tools we checked names SmartRecruiters on its own pages as of November 8, 2026.
